Users on the Basic plan will be able to add one additional member to their account. While Standard and Premium users will be able to add two and three additional members, respectively. The cost of the new feature will be ARS 219 (around $1.60) per month in Argentina and $2.99 per month in other countries.
With this new feature, Netflix is hoping to stop the widespread account sharing that has been going on for many years. By allowing users to add additional members to their accounts, it will be more difficult for people to share their login information with others.
Working on other ways to crack down on account sharing
